Robin - A silent encounter on a winter dawn
Amongst the hustle and bustle of Christmas, I step away and into the quiet of nature, the crisp and bright air of calling crows and babbling long-tailed tits bring me back to a space of inner calm.
I find a place to sit, and soon a Robin flitters its way into my attention - as robin's often do, and for a brief while we both just sit in silence, watching each other in a shared moment of the now, within a world rushing towards I’m not sure what.
So it was inevitable that the little Robin would make its way onto my easel and into a painting, and now I have something to remind me of that special Christmas moment with its dangling crystals and low light of the winter solstice, and a reminder to just step away into natures calm when the world becomes too noisy.
