For many people living in cities or urban landscapes, the gentle calling of a dove can invite the soul back into the moment, engage the sense of the wilderness within, and offer a brief window of tranquility within the urban rumble that invisibly pervades our everyday lives. A simple soothing sound that invites us to re-connect with nature at a fundamental level, and reminds us that the essence of life is not a rush into an unknown future, but rather a tangible and grounded link to the present through these gifts of the senses. These sounds of nature can take us to a place that we know well, for it is here that we are reminded that we are a part of a much larger, living universe.
